Croudace Properties has let the two largest remaining units at Barnwood Point in Gloucester to Gloucestershire Training Group for a new apprentice training college.
Units 2.6 and 2.7 will provide a total of 21,484 sq ft of accommodation which will be fitted out as classrooms, engineering workshops, training areas and offices for the Centre ready for the new academic year in September.
Gloucestershire Training Group provides cost-effective training in mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering disciplines to meet the needs of local employers in the engineering and manufacturing sector in Gloucestershire.
The Group’s chief executive officer Linsey Temple explains: “These two new units give us a clean slate on which to develop the perfect specialist training environment. We are now embarking on a major fit-out to ensure everything is ready in time for September.”
Neil Scott, Director at Croudace Properties, explains, “Barnwood Point’s convenient location on the A417 makes it the perfect location for a training centre. It is easily accessible by public transport and comes with excellent car parking onsite. The substantial new investment in fitting out the property means Gloucester Training Group will provide enhanced training opportunities to young people which are vital to the local economy. Only two trade warehouse units remain to be let at Barnwood Point.
